NsGene’s R&D activities are focused on a biodelivery program and a factor program.
In the EC BiodeliveryTM program, NsGene develops implantable devices to secrete therapeutic factors to the central nervous system and novel proteins with therapeutic potential for the nervous system are discovered and developed in the Factor program.

EC BiodeliveryTM Program
The EC BiodeliveryTM platform is a general biodelivery system of cell-derived substances to the central nervous system providing a controlled, site-specific, and safe delivery of a variety of therapeutic substances. Factor Program
NsGene has discovered and patented several new genes with therapeutic potential for the nervous system. Many of these factors are available for out-licensing and some of them are being evaluated and developed by commercial partners. One of the proprietary factors, Neublastin, is being developed by Biogen Idec for neuropathic pain, under a license agreement with NsGene. Read more |
