Biogen Idec, Inc.
NsGene entered into a collaboration and license agreement with Biogen Idec in 2000 to develop Neublastin products outside the CNS. The initial product is targeted for treatment of neuropathy and associated neuropathic pain. Clinical testing is anticipated to begin in the near future. In addition to the neuropathic pain program, the companies collaborate on the identification of new disease indications for Neublastin.

Neurotech Inc.
NsGene and Neurotech Inc. share some of the IPR for the EC BiodeliveryTM technology by dividing the fields of use, in which NsGene has the rights for nervous system applications and Neurotech for eye applications. Neurotech's lead product candidate is currently in late-stage clinical development for retinitis pigmentosa (RP) and dry age-related macular degeneration (AMD). In 2009, Neurotech reported on the completion of a phase II trial with EC Biodelivery implants in 51 AMD patients, which validates the clinical safety of the EC BiodeliveryTM technology and supports initiation of pivotal studies.

Stem Cell Sciences, Inc.

Stem Cell Sciences has acquired a license to NsGene’s proprietary neural stem cell patent for non-therapeutic use. This license will strengthen Stem Cell Sciences’ cell and drug screening product portfolio.
